Circa Now:
There are few bands that are in
it for the fun, for the testosterone fueled arrested development of it
all. Remember? Case in point, Circa Now, who released their
new record “Hotter Than A Pistol” (produced by Alan Sanderson) on the roof top
of the 10th Avenue Theater, Saturday May 8th.
If you care to re-visit that damn the torpedoes full speed ahead core
melting energy of real stripped down for the fun of it ROCK & ROLL, then
you should check out Circa Now.
Gear:
A combination of talent and great
live performances has Gear on the list of hot upcoming artists. Inspired by great popular artists such as
Green Day, Foo Fighters, and Paramore, the local San Diego band will deliver
the musical journey you are craving. Gear will surely move your head, your
heart, and your behind.
The Relay:
The Relay is a rock band that
consists of 4 members: David Di Maria on vocals and Guitar, Josh Castro on
Bass, Derek Sommerville on keyboards, Guitar and background Vocals, Jon Dryer
on Percussion. The band is high energy pop rock in the Alternative rock genre.
This band started out in 2004 playing local pubs, and bars in Orange County,
where we currently reside. We recently have booked bigger venues such as the
Coachhouse and the Viper room in Los Angeles. The band has been an opening act
for MTV bands such as Eve 6 and the 1980’s band, Berlin. Each time we have
played, we have received positive feedback from the audience. We have been
nominated for an Orange County Music Award in 2005 at the Grove in Anahiem. In
2006, we were nominated a second time for best live alternative rock band. The
band has a positive message in the lyrics that touch on life issues and the
tough times we face. We try to deliver this message in a fun and quirky style.
The band has a myspace address @ www.myspace.com/therelayband. The best person
to contact is David @ 949 525-1957. or email at davidrdm@cox.net Thanks for
taking the time to read our bio. We are always looking for concerts and
opportunities.
