Alex Y Su Mambo Salvaje

ALEX "EL HEAVY" RAMIREZ, started as a local dj in 1997 for the e-club in miramar in san diego, where he was discovered by julio martinez and was asked to join Los Principes del Merengue, a prominent band in southern california. He was a member of this band from 1999-2005. Alex took some time off from music and decided to go to college and polish his composing , arranging and overall music skills in san diego city college from 1996-1998. on september 19th of 2008, he debuted with his band Mambo Salvaje at Mangu 809 lounge in downtown san diego, thanks to Bryan Romano, from Romano Ent and Cesar Espinal. Alex y Mambo Salvaje has shared the stage and performed with artists such as Raul Acosta, Amarfis y banda Attakke, Grupo Niche, Aventura, Machito ruiz, Unique, Sonorra Carruseles, Oscar de Leon y Gilbeto Santa rosa, just to name a few. Mambo Salvajes 1st cd was released in october of 1999 and the 2nd cd is in the works. Alex y mambo salvaje currently performs in Club Caribe, Cafe Sevilla, Harrahs Casino, Rumba Lounge and is the most popular and recognized merengue y bachata band in all of southern california. Mambo salvaje dancers Angie and Amelia have performed in numerous competitions all over southern california, and are members of san diegos premier dancing team The Salsa Divas...for more info just text us or call us...somos la banda del pueblo!!
