Top Viral Dances on TikTok

If you’re looking for info on the hottest dance moves, head over to TikTok. Dances are a major staple of TikTok culture, and the platform has become the go-to place for people to share original dance routines. Fresh new dances are being created and posted constantly, and a lot of these videos go viral quickly, so you’ll probably see some of these dance moves when you’re partying at the top San Diego nightclubs. Check out this list of some of the most popular viral dances—from classic faves to the latest drops—you’ll find on TikTok.

“Lottery (Renegade)” – K Camp

This is possibly the most famous dance on TikTok. Lots of well-known creators have recreated it, but Jalaiah Harmon is the original talent behind it. She first posted it to Funimate and then to Instagram with her friend Kaliyah Davis. Jalaiah even collaborated with Charli D’Amelio and Addison Rae to teach them the original moves, and her choreography is still considered an iconic slice of TikTok history.

“WAP” – Cardi B

Brian Esperon’s choreography set to Cardi B’s “WAP” reached the pinnacle of its popularity in August of 2020, and it’s still considered a classic fave. This daring dance, set to an even bolder track, was an instant hit among TikTok users, and it quickly went viral across the platform. Takes on Esperon’s dance from stars like Addison Rae also went viral, and it’s still one of the platform’s most popular videos.

“Jeremih” — Oui

This dance, which went viral in late 2021 and early 2022, is perfect to do with a partner or friend. Since the steps are pretty simple, it’s an easy trend to share in, and lots of people have gone viral with their own takes, including Lizzo.

“Up” – Cardi B

Cardi B’s songs have provided an endless source of inspiration for TikTok dances, and Mya Johnson teamed up with Chris Cotter to create this fantastic routine for “Up.” Their dynamic dance was a huge viral hit, and numerous popular TikTok creators have posted recreations on their own pages.

“Cmonnn (Hit It One Time) — 5Star Ft. Lay Bankz

This dance by 444vngel.kzy, perfectly matched to the lyrics “Come on, hit it one time,” blew up on TikTok early in 2022, and thousands of people were soon recreating its super-fun choreography.

“Water Under the Bridge” & “Body” – Adele & Megan Thee Stallion

In November of last year, TikTok was inundated with videos of people recreating this dance, which is set to a cheeky mashup of Adele’s “Water Under the Bridge” and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Body.” After the original video appeared on Twitter, thousands of people recreated the dance on TikTok as Adele’s “backup dancers.” Adele even joined in the fun when she did a few moves from Megan Thee Stallion’s version of the TikTok dance at her Hyde Park concert in July of this year.
