A New Drake and Future Collaboration?

Here’s What We Know…

It’s been four years since Drake and Future dropped their collab mixtape What a Time to Be Alive, but there are now details that a new collaboration is in the works. Drake took to Instagram, posting a story with the words “Life is Good. Future+Drake” on a photo of his computer. He tagged Future, who reposted it shortly after.

According to the Complex, rumors of a sequel to WATTBA started last April when Future starred as a special guest performer at a few of Drake’s Assassination Vacation Tour shows in Europe. After one of the performances, they posted to Future’s Instagram story teasing that new music is on the way. In the video, Drake says, “What’s that? We gotta cook that up. That two,” leading fans to believe that a What a Time to Be Alive 2 was on the way.

It’s unknown whether the collaboration will be a single song or a full album, but in an interview with Rap Radar when Drake was asked if he and Future were cooking up again, he responded, “We’re always working. We’re always working. We got some stuff.” This leads fans to believe that they may be working on more than just one song.

Future and Drake have also shot a music video for a song that has yet to be released. Last month, there was a casting call for an upcoming shoot in Atlanta. Days later, both of them were spotted in a McDonald’s filming. It’s also unknown if there will be any collaborators on this new album, but during the Atlanta shoot, 21 Savage and Mike WiLL Made-It were also spotted on set in a photo that has since been deleted by Future.

When will the sequel be released? Will there be any additional collaborators on it? We’ll just have to wait and see. To hear the hottest hits, head to Onyx Room Nightclub for world-class DJs in the heart of downtown San Diego.
