Nicky Jam kicked off 2021 with a new project called The Rockstar Show, which debuted in January via YouTube. His first episode featured none other than Colombian superstar Maluma.
In the 35-minute interview, the “Hawai” singer opened up to Nicky about his challenging beginnings in the music industry, his current projects and making his film debut next to Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson. Plus, he shared never-before-told anecdotes about the time he met and recorded with Madonna.
In true talk show fashion, the Puerto Rican reggaeton star unveiles a very urban set with blue and red lights, a green couch for guests, and a desk for the host made out of a studio mixer.
“I’m glad you liked the interview with Maluma,” Nicky posted on Instagram. “Who should be next?”
Nicky Jam joins a growing wave of Latin music stars — including Anitta, Tito El Bambino and Residente, who all entertained fans via their Instagram Live interviews during quarantine — that are reinventing themselves during the global pandemic.
