San Diego Reopening #onyxsupportslocals

Whether the restaurant industry, both employees and diners, are ready or not, San Diego has lifted the ban on dine-in service and restaurants have begun to fully reopen or are sending out their start dates.

Although we (Onyx Nightclub) are still keeping a temporary pause on our nightclub operations, we can all find ways to support others. Let’s be honest Onyx is made up of the people, it just isn’t the same without all of you. We will be back soon enough, but until then we can dine out!

Zinqué has reopened its dining room in Little Italy. Co-owner Kristin Dossetti said they have added extra space between tables, an intensive sanitation regime, as well as protections for guests and employees alike according to state and county guidelines.

Common Stock has resumed dine-in service, with outdoor patio seating and new plexiglass partitions between inside booths.

Mike Hess Brewing Company is back in business at all of its locations except Miramar, with food trucks on hand to satisfy the county’s dine-in requirements and special deals on pitchers of beer.

STK San Diego has reopened in the Gaslamp with a new extended happy hour that will be available daily from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with half-priced cocktails and food specials. The steakhouse is also continuing to feature contactless curbside pickup and delivery of their to to-go menu.

Rudford’s has restarted its 24/7 dine-in service. The El Cajon Boulevard diner is also still doing takeout and delivery.

Maverick’s Beach Club is reopening Thursday at 6 p.m.; the Pacific Beach venue has decorated its parking lot and will have it available for additional outdoor dining.

Sbicca Del Mar is returning for dine-in service this Friday at noon. The bistro will offer an all-day menu and is not taking any reservations at this time.

The Smoking Gun in the Gaslamp is now open daily for dine-in services on a first- come, first-serve seating basis.

Inchins Bamboo Garden in Mira Mesa is now open Tuesday through Sunday starting at 4 p.m.

Backyard Kitchen & Tap is reopening in time for Memorial Day weekend, featuring dine-in service on Friday starting at 4 p.m.

Flying Pig Pub & Kitchen in Oceanside opens Friday as does sister restaurant TownHall Public House in Vista.

Downtown cafe Le Parfait Paris and North Park’s Belgian Beer and Waffles have both reopened for in-house dining.

Pacific Beach AleHouse is back this weekend with dine-in, takeout and delivery services available starting on Friday from 4 p.m. to close and on and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to close.

Savoie Italian Eatery in Chula Vista is now seating guests in its dining room and outdoor patio while continuing takeout.

Union Kitchen & Tap Encinitas resumed service Friday from 3 p.m. to close and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to close.

Bub’s @ the Beach is officially open for dine-in services in addition to carryout and delivery options.

Tacos El Cabrón has reopened in the Gaslamp.

O’Brien’s Pub is pouring pints on Convoy again, with all guests required to purchase a meal with their beer.

Soichi Sushi will be accepting reservations for in-house dining starting on Saturday, May 23, with new operating hours from 5 pm. to 8:45 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday. The sushi bar, which has been revamped according to new standards, will continue to offer takeout and delivery.

Farmer’s Table in La Mesa and Bay Park will reopen Saturday, May 23 for brunch and dinner, with the Little Italy location restarting on Memorial Day. All locations will feature an updated menu and require reservations for dine-in service.

Ambrogio15 in Pacific Beach will be resuming seated dining on Monday, May 25. The Italian restaurant will roll out a new daily lunch service and happy hour.

My Yard Live is reopening Tuesday, May 26 from noon to 8 p.m. in San Marcos.

Breakfast Republic will reopen its flagship location in North Park for in-house dining on Thursday, May 28 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Piazza 1901 is reopening in La Jolla on Thursday, May 28, offering three-course dinner specials and carryout/delivery.

Harney Sushi will reopen for dine-in and takeout on Friday, May 29. The Old Town sushi bar will operate from 4 p.m. to 11 a.m. with live music starting at 5 p.m.

Barbarella Restaurant & Bar, which has a large front patio, will be reopening in La Jolla Shores for table service and takeout on June 1.

Pho Ca Dao is resuming dine-in service at several of its seven outposts on June 1. Mission Valley, Mira Mesa, Poway and Rancho Bernardo will open first with Santee, East County and Chula Vista to follow. All locations will continue to offer takeout and delivery.

The Poke Stand along with majority of the other vendors inside the Windmill Food Hall will be reopening June 1 with limited seating for guests.

Barbusa in Little Italy will begin offering daily takeout on May 26, followed by a restart of dinner dine-in service on June 1 from 4 p.m. to close.

Niederfranks Ice Cream, a National City institution, has reopened its scoop shop.

Tasty Noodle House has resumed in-house dining on Convoy and is open every day.

Little Miss Brewing’s locations are back under normal operating hours. Per county guidelines, customers must either bring in or order a meal; the tasting room is also selling paleo/vegan meals for $1.

Bleu Bohème reopens Thursday at 5 p.m. with its full menu for dine-in guests and the dining room at half-capacity. The restaurant plans to launch takeout and delivery service later next week.

Half Door Brewing Company has resumed its normal business hours in the East Village, opening for lunch at 11 a.m. and dinner at 4 p.m. ⁣

Royal Rooster is back in action, reopening its sunny Quivira Basin patio for dine-in service from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Subterranean Coffee Boutique is now offering coffee and sandwiches inside its North Park space, where select tables have been cordoned off to maintain social distancing.

Communal Coffee has reopened its dining spaces in North Park as well as South Park, with regular hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Monday.

Dining and patio spaces rearranged to accommodate social distancing. Online orders and take out as well.

Royal India has reopened its three locations in San Diego — in Del Mar Miramar, and the Gaslamp.

Kettner Exchange is scheduled to resume dine-in operations on Friday, May 22 at 5 p.m. The Little Italy restaurant and bar will be instituting additional measures that include removing all bar seating and not allowing guests to order drinks at the bar for now, offering a payment system that does not require a person to person contact, and utilizing the adjacent rooftop patio at Devil’s Dozen for additional social distance seating.

Puesto will restart in-restaurant dining at both its La Jolla and downtown Headquarters locations on Friday.

The Grill at The Lodge at Torrey Pines has reopened for in-house dining and curbside takeout. Its hours are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and reservations are encouraged.

Menya Ultra Ramen reopens its ramen shops in Kearny Mesa and Mira Mesa for dine-in on Friday with new daily hours, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The eateries will continue to do takeout and delivery of its menu items, including a new DIY ramen home kit.

Cesarina will be open on Friday for dinner service starting at 4 p.m. The Point Loma Italian restaurant has reconfigured its dining room and patio, reducing capacity by 55 percent, switched to cleanable menus, and will have six sanitizing stations available to employees.

barleymash has reopened for dine-in and will be opening daily at noon going forward.

Firehouse American Eatery & Lounge will reopen Friday at 11 a.m. In addition to implementing all the new health and safety protocols, the Pacific Beach eatery is moving to a QR code menu that guests can scan at their tables.

RoVino The Foodery Italian market has reopened its East Village dining room for daily lunch and dinner, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Its owners plan to restart RoVino Restaurant + Wine Bar in Little Italy on May 29, offering nightly dinner service in a revamped space.

Saiko Sake and Sushi Bar has now reopened the dining rooms of its locations in Coronado and North Park.
